Episode 80: Crash and Burn

Terry Moore and Amanda Conner are back with their second story in the Chaotic Code story arc.  Barbara is enjoying her new ability to not only walk, but kick butt as well with the help of the meta human power of Madison, a mystery teenager who is manipulated in helping a mad scientist.  And on the other side of the plot mountain is Black Canary, who has been thrown in an unmarked van with men with guns and knives.

Pandorica & The Big Bang

Siskoid and Diane join Ashford to discuss the Steven Moffat two part story, The Pandorica and the Big Bang. What are your thoughts about this two part story?  Do you believe that River Song is a Time Lady?  Do you prefer the timey wimey plots like this one?  Let us know.  We would love to hear from you.  e-mail us at prydonian.post@gmail.com

Episode 20: The Pen

The Pen by Larry David really did not move the two hosts of the Four Who Rule, Ashford and Erin.  Without Kramer and George, this episode is truly depended on the double act of Jerry and Elaine, which is quite good, but with the retirement home bickering and rumors, things get annoying rather quickly.
What do you think about the Pen?

Episode 79: Icarus Rising

Issue 47 has the same heroes penned and drawn by a different art team.  Amanda Conner and Jimmy Palmiotti, known for their work with Power Girl and Harley Quinn, and Terry Moore who many know from Strangers in Paradise.
Barbara Gordon uses her Oracle skills to get into an elite seminar where a genetic scientist feels as if he has unlocked the mystery of creation and entropy itself.  And Black Canary is back in the fishnets, kicking butt without taking names, but you better believe she is keeping score.

Episode 76: The Aztecs

Siskoid and Ashford discuss The Aztecs by John Lucarotti, a true historical where the Doctor admonishes Barbara Wright about "messing" with time.  This first, on air, T.A.R.D.I.S. team are separated quite a bit, covering more ground of this landscape where the Aztecs resided.
Was Barbara right for trying to change this culture with her relatively modern, English ways?  Perhaps stepping back and allowing History to take its course is not the right thing to do?

Episode 19

George is going out with a woman whom he deems as pretentious.  Although George believes that the Truth maybe the way to go, this causes a conflict of interest with Jerry, for the Pretentious Patrice, George's dating friend, has Jerry's records, helping him with a Tax Audit situation.  And on the other side of the mountain, Kramer is dating Elaine's roommate, which leads to some strange bed fellow follies.
Listen to Erin and Ashford discuss The Truth by Elaine Pope.

Episode 18: The Note

The season opener for the 3rd series is the Note, written by Larry David.  Receiving a massage from a man, George really questions himself, while receiving no help or support from his friends.  Great open to the season.  As a viewer, one can really tell that the show took a leap forward.  Even Jerry in the opening scene, giving virtually a routine/bit/monologue to the massage therapist, scares her off with his morose, creep factor banter about abducted children.  Seinfeld's performance while giving the monologue was quite good.
Let us know your "What is the Deal?"  And when is the last time you got the "Hook Up"?

Episode 75: The Time of Angels/Flesh and Stone

The Time of Angels and Flesh and Stone by Steven Moffat are quite a feat.  Bring back River Song and The Weeping Angels, along with High Definition, The Doctor, Amy, and the Church, Moffat really flexed his creative muscle, displaying the direction the show was going from this point on.  What else do we want, right?  Siskoid and Ashford discuss this two part story to great length.  We're talking a little over an hour.  Ashford mentions this was the episode that made him buy into Matt Smith and being a Whovian all together.

Episode 17: The Bus Boy

Erin and Ashford discuss the season finale of season 2, the Bus Boy, written by Jerry Seinfeld and Larry David. Not meaning to, George causes the firing of a Bus Boy, hence the title.  Feeling responsible for this unfortunate event, George tries to make up for it, only causing more grief for the character he is trying to appease.
Meanwhile, Elaine is trying to get rid of her "nice guy" man friend.  He was great for a weekend, but for a full blown week...a bit much.  This is the episode where the Elaine character is given some material where she could display her chops.
We gave this one a 2 out of 5 Superman Shields.

Episode 74: Keys to Marinus

Siskoid, Joe Dredd, and Ashford discuss The Keys to Marinus by Terry Nation, creator of the Daleks.  No, Daleks are not in this serial; however a quest is!  And we are not talking about the Keys to Time.  What do you think about this serial?

Episode 77: Chuck Dixon's Final Story

Chuck Dixon's final story has explosions, guns, double-double crosses, which sometimes negates the original double cross.  Only a panel or two with Oracle, and Black Canary only playing a supporting character, for the action, plot, and other characters over shadow our main protagonist, yet despite it all, this really serves as a great good bye for Chuck Dixon.

The Black Panther Movie

Yes, Marvel Studios released Black Panther, and it was glorious.  Here at the Wright On Network, we have been working on giving you a response to the film, but we didn't want to rush anything out.  We wanted to compile some conversations from people with different vantage points, which we believe is important, for we all have our different schema, philosophies, and experiences.
Ryan Daly of the Power of Fishnets podcast over at the www.fireandwaterpodcast.com, Mark of the Feathers and Foes podcast, Delvin, Dr. Shelby-King, and Jada all joined Ashford in a discussion about this unique triumph, Black Panther.
