#180 The Manhattan Project: The Finale

The Manhattan Project are finally here...The Finale.  The New York 4 have been arrested for their ambivalence and are not visited by their past, where characters are able to air out their grievances against the 4 Who Rule.  What are your thoughts about the finale?  Let us know here at Twitter @HuntressPodcast

  1. So the question: if the New York 4 are such awful people, why did we love them in this show so much? A couple of thoughts. On Jerry Seinfeld's comedy album, one of his bits is about New York cabs, "People don't care how the cabbies drives: weaving in and out, cutting people off, and as a passenger you think laughingly I'd never try that in my car. It's your LIFE! And yet somehow it's all happening on TV." That's our New York 4. They do things we wouldn't do, but maybe wish we could. Second thought: back when Jerry and George were brainstorming ideas for their TV pilot, Kramer says "Make it a circus! People love freaks!" Nuff said.
I got a little emotional as well watching the show, and listening to your podcast. It's a big moment. I also realized I'd seen the broadcast finales of MASH, Cheers, and Seinfeld. Wow. Well done, Man-hatters.
